Apple Intelligence When Gets ChatGPT 5
OpenAI announced Chat GPT 5; ChatGPT is still the best AI. When will Apple Intelligence get the new ChatGPT 5 on their smartphones? Apple Intelligence is currently using ChatGPT-4 model (older version)
According to a report from 9to5mac, Apple will implement GPT-5 into the final releases of iOS 26, iPadOS 26 and macOS Tahoe 26. All of those are expected to start rolling out next month. Which is also when the iPhone 17 family should become official.
In Apple Intelligence, you can use Siri to access ChatGPT. Apple’s assistant taps into ChatGPT to give answers when it’s helpful for your request. You can also use ChatGPT with Apple Intelligent Writing Tools and use ChatGPT with Apple’s Visual Intelligence with camera control to quickly learn more about what’s around you.
All of these functions currently use GPT-40 but will be upgraded to GPT-5 with the release of the next versions of Apple’s OS, so you don’t wait so long to get all of the upgraded functionality in GPT-5. Apple will unveil the iPhone 17 series worldwide. Let’s see what’s new coming from Apple.
